Estate Planning Options
Every situation is unique, and there various estate planning options are available to choose from. We will work together to create the right estate plan for your situation. During your initial consultation, I will listen to you and explain each option:
- Will. First, you need to determine who will be the guardian of any dependent children. Secondly, you can name an executor of the estate to be responsible for collection and distribution of your estate.
- Trust. By putting assets into a trust, you can keep those assets out of probate.
- Living Will. Sometimes called an Advanced Healthcare Directive, a living will outlines what measures you want to be taken to keep you alive in the hospital.
- Will Contest. If you do not feel that the terms of the will were complied with, we can help you challenge the distribution of the assets.
- Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare. You can determine who will make healthcare decisions for you down the road, if you are unable to communicate your wishes.
- Durable Power of Attorney for Financial Purposes. You can name a person to manage your finances if you are not able to communicate how you want your finances to be directed.
